1. Collection and Use of Personal Information

By submitting this form, you consent to the collection, generation, and temporary storage of your personal information (including your full name and form data) by qr-dnr.com in compliance with the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Your information is collected solely for the purpose of generating your requested QR code.

2. Public Accessibility & Risk Acknowledgment

Upon submission, your QR code will be saved on our servers and assigned a unique URL containing a randomized hash identifier. While this URL is unlisted, it is publicly accessible to anyone who possesses the link. You acknowledge and accept the privacy risks associated with temporary public web accessibility of your encoded data.

3. Data Retention and Automated Deletion

• Standard Retention: Publicly accessible QR codes are scheduled for automatic deletion 3 hours after creation.
• System Maintenance Exception: In the event of an unexpected system malfunction or outage, complete file deletion may take up to 72 hours while systems are restored.

4. Securing Data via Account Creation

You have the option to register and activate an account following form completion. Once your account is activated, the QR code will automatically transfer to your private, authenticated storage and will no longer be accessible via the public URL.

5. Your Rights & Consent Withdrawal

Under BC PIPA, you have the right to request access to or correction of your personal information, or to withdraw your consent at any time. Note that withdrawing consent for an active, unlinked submission will result in the immediate deletion of the temporary file.
